WHAT THE RECORD SHOWS
AP reported the project is being developed in part by a company owned by the Qatari government. CNBC reported that the Trump Organization’s licensing agreement was with a private developer and that Dar Global and Qatari Diar announced the project on April 30, 2025.

The Trump Organization says it has no direct deals with foreign governments.
Correction. An earlier version dated the project to June 2025, listed the counterparty as a company owned by the Qatari government and said the amount was not disclosed. The project was announced April 30, 2025; CNBC reports the licensing deal is with Dar Global, a private developer, within a development led by the state-controlled Qatari Diar, and Trump’s 2025 disclosure lists $5.25 million in licensing income.
