Reuters reported that Bloomberg, Susquehanna International Group and Jump Trading subscribed to Trump Media's Truth API, a paid service that provides low-latency access to posts from influential Truth Social accounts including President Trump's. Reuters cited people with direct knowledge and said the purchases had not previously been reported. Bloomberg, Susquehanna and Jump declined to comment. Trump Media's own SEC exhibits confirm that the service is designed for high-frequency and algorithmic trading firms, delivers posts in milliseconds and had signed more than ten customer agreements by August, generally priced between $60,000 and $100,000 per month. The filings do not name the customers, so the three identities are reported claims rather than independently confirmed facts.
Response / context
Trump Media said Truth API is an industry-standard product with significant demand, said it protects customer confidentiality and called Reuters' anonymous-source reporting misleading and harmful to the company, its customers and shareholders. The company has separately described the feed as low-latency access to publicly available posts. White House spokesman Davis Ingle told Reuters that Trump and his family are not directly involved in portfolio investment decisions, but did not directly address allegations that the president was improperly using his office. Senators Elizabeth Warren and Adam Schiff asked the SEC in July to investigate whether the product violates securities laws; that request is an allegation and request for review, not an SEC finding. Reuters said the SEC declined to comment. A separate media-plaintiff lawsuit over access to official announcements remains pending; no ruling establishing that Truth API is unlawful was identified by the review time.
